NIN Web Desk : (Dr. subhrojyoti chattopadhyay); Delhi’s 70 assembly constituencies will have their polls on February 5. February 8 is the day of reckoning since this time the fight for the Delhi polls is basically three-way.
A shock to the AAP camp before that. There are only five days left for the Delhi assembly elections. Seven MLAs left the Aam Aadmi Party (UP) together on Friday! They have written a letter to party convener Kejriwal and informed about quitting the party membership. Why did they leave the party? Bhavna Gaur, the defecting MLA, said that this decision is due to the loss of faith in Kejriwal and AAP.
However, a source in AAP claims that the MLAs have decided to leave the party without getting tickets for the upcoming assembly elections.Apart from Bhavana, Adarsh Nagar MLA Pawan Sharma, Mehrauli MLA Naresh Yadav, Trilokpuri MLA Rohit Kumar, Janakpuri MLA Rajesh Rishi, Kasturba Nagar MLA Madan Lal and Bijiosan MLA BS June have also decided to quit.
Bhavna fought from Palam in the last election, he won and became a MLA. However, AAP has not nominated him in that center this time. In his resignation letter on Friday, Bhavna did not mention not getting tickets.
However, he cited loss of faith in Kejriwal as the reason for leaving the party.Madan also showed the same reason. This time Kejriwal has brought new faces to these seven MLAs without re-polling tickets. Mukesh Goel has been given the ticket from Adarsh Nagar.
Janakpuri UP candidate Praveen Kumar, Kejri gave ticket to Surendra Bharadwaj from Bijiosan. Yoginder Solanki is contesting on the Bar Up ticket instead of Bhavna in Palam.
