NIN Web Desk : (Dr subhrojyoti chattopadhyay) ; Earlier, ADG law & order Javed Samim and South Bengal ADG Supratim Sarkar held a press conference for Ram Navami vigilance on behalf of the West Bengal State Police. They informed about the vigilance and police activities of the Ram Navami festival. They had also cleared about the rules and regulations which is to be followed while doing the Procession. Later, when the case was filed in the Kolkata High Court, the judge made it clear that the festival would be held in accordance with law and order, but the festival could not be disrupted in any way. After that Kolkata Police Commissioner Manoj Verma visited the entire Kolkata and monitored all matters related to law and order. During the visit to Central Kolkata, Commissioner of Kolkata Police made it clear to the reporters that no Ram Navami rally or procession will be allowed with any kind of weapons in hand. If anyone does or tries to disrupt the law and order, appropriate actions will be taken as per law. But today in the city of Kolkata, it was just the opposite.
It is needless to say that the Kolkata Police has taken strict security measures and surveillance throughout the city of Kolkata to keep a full vigil on the celebration of Ram Navami festival on April 6th on Sunday. It has been seen people didn’t pay any heed to the notice and carried weapons like Axes, Swords etc in the procession. The Ruling Party TMC have maintained the decorum as well as followed the Law and Order while doing the Procession, even they visited Temple and offered prayers from their end. Whereas on the other side the BJP Party workers carried weapons on their hands and didn’t visit Temples neither did they offer prayers from their end to Lord Ram. It’s getting clear that BJP uses “Lord Ram” as a Weapon or better to say a Mastercard in Politics.
Questions arises that BJP party workers don’t care about Law Enforcements Notice. The party workers pays heed to their West Bengal Supremo only so as per his directions they marched with Weapons and shouted “Jay Sree Ram” on Ram Navami. It has also been seen that the SFI West Bengal Leader said if there’s any wrong/unlawful activity seen they would give Strict Dose which way back the then CM of West Bengal Jyoti Basu used to give. The party workers of BJP even didn’t paid any heed to the SFI Leader’s words but did that which Suvendu Adhikari (the LoP of West Bengal) said to them. It can be said that BJP party workers doesn’t fear the Law Enforcements or the SFI Leader’s words at all.
