NIN Web Desk : (Dr subhrojyoti chattopadhyay) ; CRPF’s 41 Battalion Constable Munir Ahmed has been dismissed from service for marrying a Pakistani girl without informing. A CRPF’s statement said, “Constable Munir Ahmed secretly married a Pakistani national and knowingly sheltered her even after her visa expired. His actions have been found to be in violation of service rules and detrimental to national security. Therefore, the constable has been dismissed from service.”
CRPF sources said that Jammu resident Munir Ahmed had written a letter to his department when he joined the force in 2017, informing it that he wanted to marry a Pakistani woman. But without waiting for formal approval, he got married. Minal and Munir got married on May 24 last year through a video call. Incidentally, Munir Khan is a resident of Ghorota area of Jammu. He is working in the CRPF as a result, security questions are being raised about his marriage to a Pakistani national. According to many, such incidents require in-depth investigation and vigilance, especially when the number of terrorist incidents is increasing in the country.
Munir’s wife came to Kashmir on a short-term visa. The visa expired on March 22 and the government ordered her to leave India due to the Pahalgam incident. The young Pakistani woman finally approached the court, wanting to stay with her husband. Even though her visa expired in March, she remained in India. Minal Khan, the wife of CRPF constable Munir Ahmed, a resident of Pakistan, also received a notice to leave India.
However, on the 29th, the High Court ordered that Minal would be able to stay in India for another 10 days. As a result, she left for the border but returned. On April 22, 26 people were killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. After that, India cancelled the visas of most Pakistani citizens and ordered them to leave the country within a specified time. Munir Ahmed, a constable of the 41st Battalion of the CRPF, was finally dismissed.
