News Desk, Kolkata :  In several places in South Bengal, thunderstorms and rainfall have indeed occurred on Thursday. The chill had settled in almost everywhere. Thursday night felt pleasantly warm. Everyone is contemplating wrapping themselves in blankets and quilts. However, the weather is hinting at a change.

The temperature is dropping again. So, before putting away the winter clothes, one must think twice. Winter is not leaving just yet. Three days have passed since the end of Magh, and the month of Falgun has arrived. According to the calendar, it is spring. However, the cold is not giving in, as stated by the Alipore Meteorological Office.

The threat of rain persists. Cold is expected to return to the district for the next two days. The temperature in the western region could drop to 12-13 degrees Celsius. Today, Kolkata recorded a minimum temperature of 20.7 degrees Celsius. The chill might return within 18 degrees in Kolkata’s domain. This advance notice of the weather has been issued by the weather office on Friday.

Saturday and Sunday will mark the beginning of an increase in temperatures. The weather office has hinted at reaching a maximum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius in the coming week.

As we navigate through the dynamic weather, one cannot ignore the intricacies of the changing seasons. The transition from winter to spring brings unexpected twists and turns, challenging our readiness to bid farewell to the cold. The narrative unfolds in the landscapes of South Bengal, where the clash of seasons paints a vivid picture.

In the quaint corners of the region, Thursday witnessed a spectacle of thunderstorms and rainfall, defying the expectations of a serene winter’s end. The air, once draped in chilly stillness, transformed into a subtle warmth on Thursday night, leaving everyone contemplating the premature retreat of winter layers.

However, nature, with its capricious temperament, dropped a subtle hint of change. The mercury, which had momentarily risen, is on a downward spiral once again. The hasty thought of stowing away winter garments is interrupted by a reality check – winter is not ready to bid adieu just yet. The calendar may proclaim the arrival of Falgun, but the cold lingers, echoing the defiance of the Alipore Meteorological Office.

The looming threat of rain adds a layer of uncertainty to the weather forecast. The district braces itself for a resurgence of cold over the next two days, with temperatures plummeting to a modest 12-13 degrees Celsius in the western region. Kolkata, despite being in the grip of calendar-defined spring, registered a minimum temperature of 20.7 degrees Celsius, challenging the premature aspirations of warmth.

As Friday unfolds, the weather office issues a preemptive alert, urging residents to reconsider stowing away winter essentials. The weekend promises a subtle shift in the atmospheric dynamics, with temperatures poised to climb. Kolkata, the city of joy, prepares for a potential return of the chill, with temperatures threatening to dip within the 18-degree range.

The weekend marks the inception of a climatic transformation. The weather office, in its foresight, hints at a maximum temperature surge, projecting a potential high of 30 degrees Celsius in the week ahead. The narrative, painted in the hues of seasonal transitions, invites us to witness the intricacies of nature’s canvas.

In conclusion, the South Bengal region becomes a canvas where nature’s brushstrokes create a captivating story of unexpected weather patterns. As we navigate the intricacies of shifting seasons, the narrative evolves, reminding us that the transition from winter to spring is a nuanced dance of elements, keeping us on our toes and defying our expectations.
