NIN Web Desk : (Dr subhrojyoti chattopadhyay); The Supreme Court on Monday ordered the withdrawal of a case filed in connection with the Murshidabad riots. A bench of Justice Surya Kant and Justice NK Singh on Monday questioned the admissibility of the case and also reprimanded the lawyer who filed the case. The judges said that the lawyer needs to study further in this case. Recently, there has been a huge vandalism, plunder in Murshidabad due to protests against the Waqf Amendment Act. According to sources, three people have also died there. Among which 2 being a Father and a son has been butchered to death. Lawyer Shashank Shekhar Jha approached the Supreme Court seeking a proper investigation into the incidents of unrest. He wanted a special team to investigate the incidents of unrest in Murshidabad under the supervision of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court raised several questions on Monday regarding that case. The court asked, “On what information was the case filed?”
The bench of Justice Surya Kant and Justice NK Singh said that the case has no merit. Justice Kant observed that there is no question of interfering in this case. After this, the lawyer who filed the case was ordered to withdraw the case. However, the judges gave the permission to the file a new case after correcting the mistake. The Supreme Court said that there is no problem in hearing cases regarding the problems of citizens. But this case is based only on media reports so the method of filing the case is not correct. The court’s question is, who is being oppressed? Where is the list of names of the homeless? The judges said that the case should have contained information and legal aspects.
Questions are being raised that is the TMC Government somehow trying to safeguard the Milch cows or particularly a Community? Is the riot created by Local TMC Leaders just for the Vote Banks? The riot basically affected the Hindus so can it be said that the TMC is getting Anti-Hindu Party day after day? If the TMC isn’t Anti-Hindu rather believes in Secularism then why didn’t the Administration and Law Enforcements take adequate steps?
