How can a school run without teachers?
The Hon’ble Chief Minister asked the court, “How can the school run without teachers? Who will teach the students now?” The Chief Minister said that if the teachers do not have jobs even after approaching the Supreme Court through legal channels, then she has in mind what to do. She assured, “These qualified teachers will never lose their jobs”.
‘Everyone can work voluntarily’
The Chief Minister asked the unemployed, have they received the notice of dismissal yet? If not then they can go to school and can work. She also mentioned the term ‘Voluntary Service’. Everyone can work voluntarily, said the Chief Minister.
No one has stopped the teachers from going to school. On her request, teachers can go to school and take class. The chief minister’s assurance on behalf of the state government, ‘whatever to do to get back the job, I will do it within the law’. She demanded, ‘Supreme Court should hand over the list of eligible and ineligible to the state’. She even assured that the government will make some alternative arrangements within 2 months. No one’s job will be cancelled for those who are eligible, the chief minister repeatedly assured from her end. Along with her request, the Supreme Court should give us the list of eligible and ineligible.
However, the Chief Minister did not give any assurance about the ineligibles. She said, “Let’s see the matter of the qualified first. Then there will be a discussion about those who are called unqualified. In that case, if they are proved to be unqualified, I will not have anything to do. We have to see why they are called unqualified, who has investigated the matter.”
