The repercussions were swift, as a substantial police force from Bhandar and Chandaneshwar police stations rushed to the scene upon receiving information about the escalating conflict. Calcutta police had already charged individuals for vandalism in the days leading up to this incident, indicating a heightened state of unrest in the region.

Sources report that a total of four individuals sustained injuries during the clashes, all of whom were known grassroots activists in the area.

Following the incident, these injured individuals were swiftly rescued and transported to the Nalmuri Primary Health Centre. Subsequently, they were transferred to a government hospital in Kolkata after initial treatment. Family members of the victims have claimed that one of the injured individuals suffered gunshot wounds, adding a sinister layer to the already volatile situation.

The narrative unfolds with ISF supporters attempting to hoist party flags in Khargachi, only to be confronted by Trinamool loyalists who allegedly sought to impede the process.
