NIN Web Desk : On August 9, a horrific murder and rape case happened at RG Kar Hospital. The main accused, Sanjay Rai, was found guilty. The judge, Anirban Das, gave him a life sentence in Sealdah Court. But even after this, the people of the state and doctors were not satisfied. They wanted full justice for Abhaya.

Many questions were raised about the CBI investigation, both by the court and junior doctors (JDF).During the trial, there was confusion about where the crime happened. At first, people thought it happened on the third floor. But later, new information suggested it might have happened somewhere else, possibly on the seventh floor.

A video from this floor came out, creating many doubts and debates. Junior doctors (JDF) found blood stains and other evidence on the 7th floor. They believed that the crime might have happened there too. The room on the eighth floor was sealed under CBI’s order. But some unknown people, pretending to be police, tried to break into the room. The junior doctors questioned why this happened. When the video from the eighth floor was shown in the news, the state health department became alert.

Source report, Last Friday a big meeting was held at RG Kar Hospital about this 7th-floor room. HOD of different departments, hospital authorities (principal, MSVP) and junior doctors (JDF) attended the meeting.Source report, in the meeting, they decided that the 7th-floor room would remain closed.

The lift next to it, which was also suspicious, would also stay shut. No one would open any lock or break the seal. They also decided to send another notice to CBI, asking them to investigate the 7th floor and the lift properly. Some doctors were unhappy because the CBI was not helping much. Even after many attempts, the CBI did not respond.

Now, everyone is waiting to see if the CBI replies to the new notice.Last week, the Calcutta High Court scolded the CBI for delays in another corruption case involving Sandeep Ghosh. The court ordered the CBI to act quickly.

Now, everyone is waiting to see if the CBI will give proper answers about the 7th-floor room and the lift in RG Kar Hospital. The meeting at the hospital was important, but real justice will only come if the CBI fully cooperates in Abhaya’s case.
