NIN News Desk : (Dr. Subhrajyoti Chattopadhyay) ; New medical colleges are opening everyday and there is a dearth of faculty positions. Let us push for the incentivization of some branches in medical colleges.Regular recruitment, incentives in stipend/salary, priority in promotion, active involvement in hospital works etc will encourage our graduates to take these branches.

If there are job lucrative, naturally there will be more takers. No matter how much training you have in one particular field, it will never be enough to match clinical training that a MBBS doctor goes through.A simple example – Anatomists are also trained in basic radiology and clinical aspects of dissection & cadaveric surgical workshops take place all over the world where Anatomists & Surgeons exchange ideas.

Medical Microbiologists & Pharmacologists are involved in routine clinical work (outside lab work) in many hospitals all over the world. Is a non medical Microbiologist/Pharmacologist fit to do such work?
