News Desk, Kolkata :  Mithun Chakraborty, the legendary actor, has been in Kolkata for the shooting of the film ‘Shastri.’ Amidst a hectic schedule, he unexpectedly felt unwell on Saturday morning. News of his discomfort led to a frenzy as he was rushed to a hospital accompanied by his son Soham Chakraborty. The shooting schedule for the eagerly anticipated movie was put on hold due to Mithun’s health setback.

Concerned colleagues like Devashree Ray and Trinamool Congress legislator, also an actor, Soham, expressed worry and visited Mithun at the hospital. Soham reassured everyone, stating, “Mithunda is doing well. He is under the observation of doctors now.” Devashree Ray shared, “Mithunda will be shifted to the cabin today. I was shocked to hear the news of his illness.”

The news of Mithun Chakraborty’s health took a political turn when Sukanta Majumdar, from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), visited the hospital. This unexpected visit from the BJP, especially during the ongoing political tension, raised eyebrows. Rudranil Ghosh, another actor associated with BJP, also showed up at the hospital to check on Mithun.

During the 2021 West Bengal elections, Mithun Chakraborty had gained attention as the “senapati” (commander) of PM Modi. However, beyond the political landscape, questions arose about Mithun’s physical condition and what messages the actor was receiving from the Shivir (BJP camp).

Rudranil Ghosh, currently busy with shooting in Jaipur, managed to get in touch with Mithun over the phone. He disclosed, “I spoke with Mithunda’s personal manager. He informed me that Mithun was feeling a bit unwell in the morning, and that’s why he was admitted to the hospital for observation.”

Mithun’s son, Mimo, residing in Mumbai, stated, “Dad is doing well. Routine check-ups are underway, and he was admitted to the hospital for a sugar level test.” This statement was reiterated by Mimo’s wife, Madalsa Sharma, to various Indian news outlets.

However, the plot thickened on Saturday morning as hospital sources revealed that Mithun Chakraborty had suffered a cerebral stroke. He was moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for further medical attention. Mimo and Madalsa, who initially downplayed the situation, were later compelled to disclose the severity of Mithun’s condition.

The sudden turn of events sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry and political circles alike. Mithun, known for his resilience, is now facing a health crisis that transcends the boundaries of his filmography and political affiliations.

As the news spread like wildfire, fans, colleagues, and political figures united in expressing their concern for the iconic actor. The unfolding drama took unexpected turns, with the hospital becoming a focal point for political interactions.

The “Shastri” film, which initially brought Mithun to Kolkata, is now overshadowed by the unfolding health saga. The actor, who once stood as a charismatic figure on the political stage, is now grappling with a personal battle that transcends the scripts of both cinema and politics.

In the corridors of the hospital, where political tensions usually find their echo, Mithun Chakraborty lies in the ICU, and the narrative unfolds with twists and turns that no scriptwriter could have envisioned. As the nation holds its breath, awaiting updates on Mithun’s health, the actor’s life becomes a dramatic tale that captures the essence of human vulnerability, regardless of fame or political prominence. The unfolding saga of Mithun Chakraborty is a stark reminder that life’s unpredictability can rewrite the script at any moment, leaving everyone on the edge of anticipation.
