A list of militants is being made and raids are being conducted at their homes. Houses are being destroyed. In the same time, it was learned that several local residents also helped the militants. The police also made a list of at least 15 such people.
Based on the information received from various sources, it is known that some local residents helped the militants by providing accommodation, stocking and supplying weapons. Initially, five such people have been identified. Allegedly, they were around Baisaran on the day of the incident. Three of them are being detained and interrogated. According to the sources of the investigators, some group chats a few days before the Pahalgam attack on the mobile phones of the three people were also found, in which they discussed about helping the militants.
Pahalgam belongs to Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. About 200 people have been arrested so far in the search operation across the district. They are being interrogated. Apart from this, the security forces have also found the location of the militants’ bunker in several search operations. On Saturday, the Sedori Nala of the valley was raided in the forest of the Mustaqabad Machil and was traced to the militants’ bunker. Many firearms and cartridges were recovered. Among them were five AK-47 rifles, eight AK-47 magazines, a pistol, a pistol magazine, 660 cartridges of the AK-47 and 50 cartridges of the M4 gun. According to sources, a list of 15 local militants and their helpers name came up with Pahalgam and Pulwama attack. The army has also started the work of finding them.
