NIN Web Desk : (Dr subhrojyoti chattopadhyay); A meeting with the representatives of the unemployed lasted for more than two and a half hours at Bikash Bhaban. Education Minister Bratya Basu and the SSC Chairman met with them. After the meeting, the representatives of the unemployed have told the journalists about the content of the discussion. This time, the Education Minister presented the essence of the meeting on behalf of the government.
According to the Education Minister, “Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had announced at Netaji Indoor to provide legal protection to the deserving and deprived teachers so that they can get jobs after the Supreme Court verdict and to provide legal assistance to all the deserving and deprived teachers. Accordingly, they wanted to sit with us at Bikash Bhavan today. They wrote a letter and made an application, and today’s meeting was held in view of that. They made several demands to us, I think they have already told you in detail about those demands or what the results will be. From our side, we have no fundamental disagreement with what they have said. But there is a direct order from the Supreme Court, there we cannot do anything without legal protection or legal assistance, without legal advice. Therefore, their demands are very justified. We will take legal advice, the first thing they have demanded one, SSC should publish the list of qualified and ineligible. What I said yesterday, SSC must have the information based on the information provided by the CBI. SSC has informed the court three times in affidavits. Second, what they are demanding, SSC should upload the list on the website. We have no objection to that either and there is no problem. I have asked SSC, the SSC chairman is also here. SSC has no problem they can upload the list received from the CBI that they have. If we get positive legal advice these are the two main demands they made to us. I have informed this in the context of that.”
If there was an eligible and ineligible list, why did it take so long? In response to this question from the journalist, the Education Minister said, “It did not take any time, SSC has already given it. I have been saying repeatedly that this is a narrative created by the opposition party. Please do not fall into that narrative. In the case of mirror image, we will take legal advice. If that’s possible, we have no problem handing it over.”
