The NIA arrested him as soon as he stepped foot at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. Tahaur Hussain Rana was one of the masterminds of the 2008 Mumbai attacks. The Indian government has achieved a major success by bringing him back to India after almost 16 years. This time the laws of the country will punish him. A case has been registered against Tahaur Hussain Rana under multiple sections.
India’s ‘most wanted‘ came via a special plane from Los Angeles. He was escorted to New Delhi by a team of NSG and NIA. After getting off the plane, the initial official work was quickly completed. Then, without wasting any more time, the NIA investigation team arrested Tahaur Hussain Rana. Tahaur, a Pakistani-origin American citizen, was living in Chicago. The charges against Tahaur Hussain Rana are serious. David Coleman Headley, another mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, who had come to the commercial city for Reiki before the attack, told the interrogation that it was Tahaur Hussain Rana who provided all the weapons and money for the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
Tahaur Hussain Rana is accused of masterminding the 2008 Mumbai attacks in collaboration with David Coleman Headley, Pakistani terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, Harkat-ul-Jihadi-Islami and other Pakistani conspirators. A case has been registered against Tahaur Hussain Rana under various sections including criminal conspiracy, murder, forgery, declaring war against the Indian government, and unlawful activities.
