On Friday at around 12:50 pm local time, Myanmar was shaken by Earthquake. Tremors were also felt in Thailand, India and China. In this situation, the death march is getting longer in both Myanmar and Thailand. The death toll has risen to at least 144, on the other hand, the number of injuries is 732. Myanmar’s Junta Chief Minister Aung Hlaing warned the death toll could rise with time and Emergency has been declared there. Myanmar has requested assistance in this situation, any country or organization can help they said.
Tremors were also felt in northern part of Thailand on this very day. As a result, some metro and rail services in Bangkok were stopped, the Prime Minister of Thailand sat in a meeting to review the situation. After which he also declared Emergency in Bangkok, three people were reported dead after a high-rise building collapsed in Bangkok. In addition, tremors were also felt in China’s Yunnan province. Mild tremors were also felt in Kolkata, West Bengal and Manipur in India. Besides, the people of Bangladesh’s Dhaka and Chittagong also felt the Earthquake.
